Terms of Service

Last updated: July 29, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Sound Social website and services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after changes means you accept them. We will note the date of the latest revision at the top of this page.

2. Eligibility

Sound Social is a club for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Individual gatherings may set their own age ranges, which are shown on each event page, so members can find groups that fit their season of life.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it current. One account per person, and accounts are personal: they may not be shared or transferred. Tell us promptly at info@soundsocial.club if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

4. Events, Conduct, and Safety

Sound Social gatherings are real-world events. By attending you agree to:

  • Treat other members, hosts, and venues with respect. Harassment of any kind ends membership.
  • Take personal responsibility for your interactions and decisions, at events and afterward.
  • Arrange your own transportation, and only continue socializing beyond an event if you feel comfortable doing so.

We provide a social setting for introductions. We do not conduct background checks on members. Use the same good judgment you would anywhere else.

5. Member-Led Activities

Some gatherings are proposed and hosted by fellow members rather than by Sound Social staff. Member hosts are not our employees or agents. We review proposed activities before they appear on the calendar, but attending any activity, including outdoor and physical ones, is at your own risk. Choose activities that match your own abilities and comfort.

6. Payments, Cancellations, and Refunds

Some events are free; others have a per-person price shown on the event page. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.

  • Cancel a paid registration 48 hours or more before the event start and you receive a full refund.
  • Cancellations within 48 hours of the event are not eligible for a refund, because venues and headcounts are committed by then.
  • If we cancel an event, everyone who paid is refunded in full.

7. Kindling

Kindling is our optional, members-only compatibility assistant. If you choose to use it:

  • Kindling makes suggestions and explains its reasoning. It does not guarantee friendship, romance, or any particular outcome. Chemistry is yours to find.
  • Suggestions are only ever shown in the categories both members chose. Your answers and your preferences stay private, as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • You can pause or stop Kindling at any time without affecting your membership.

8. Acceptable Use

Do not use Sound Social to advertise unrelated businesses, scrape or collect member information, impersonate others, or do anything unlawful. We may suspend or end accounts that harm the community or violate these terms.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sound Social is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for the actions of members, hosts, or venues. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

10. Ending Your Membership

You may close your account at any time by contacting info@soundsocial.club. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, such as limitations of liability, survive it.

11. Governing Law and Contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Questions about them belong at info@soundsocial.club.
